    Short Property Description

    100 acres of scrub with 1km frontage to Pelican Lagoon (aquatic reserve) and on our other boundary is Pelican Lagoon Conservation Park, with lots of birds & wildlife. We are 5 min from Northern & Southern Ocean beaches.

    Our preferred menu is home brewed beer & cider, roo meat, curries and fresh vegetables. Our shack and mostly completed freestone home is solar powered, supplied with rainwater, wood stove cooking. No TV, but CD music, radio & books.

    Volunteering includes help with organic vegetable growing, track maintenance, building in freestone and natural materials, compost making, stump picking and caretaking the natural environment.

    Accommodation. for up to 4 adults in tents or shack (rough but comfortable) with mixed diet. No children. Phone one week in advance. Longer stays preferable. No public transport on the Island & no Mobile reception on the farm. Can P/U from the ferry by arrangement..

    Why I became a WWOOF Host

    We joined woof to meet like-minded people and get assistance with some of our gardening work. Since joining Wwoof in 1998 we have met people from all over the world and enjoyed their company and skills as part of our life style.
