    Short Property Description

Organic goat farm right on the edge of Nimbin. Very quick walk (less than 5 minutes) to the center of town and all its shops, cafes, etc. The property is 16 acres and bordered by the town on one side and a beautiful creek with swimming holes on the other side. We have 60+ goats, 3 horses, 1 alpaca, a large garden, and an orchard in progress.

    Full Property Description

A typical day will be as follows:

    – 1 hour of goat tasks in the morning (the earlier the better)

    – lunch served at 12pm

    – 2 hours of various tasks from 4pm to 6pm (organic gardening, bush regeneration, odd jobs, etc.)

    – 1 hour of goat tasks from 6pm to 7pm

    – dinner served at 7pm

So this leaves you most of the day to go into town, relax, or work on your own things. If you’d like to go exploring during the day, we can give you sandwiches.

Because we are right on the edge of town, you don’t necessarily need a car. There are regular buses to Lismore, Byron Bay, and Murwillumbah.

The schedule is flexible to some extent, but the goats do need attention at the start and at the end of each day.

If interested, we are happy to include you in more advanced goat tasks such as milking and soap making.

If you’d prefer to eat on your own, we can accommodate this as well and either still cook for you or just provide you the food.

We might explore the option of signing off for a second-year visa as we are in a bushfire disaster postcode.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We love the company and sharing our passion for goats. We sincerely enjoy sharing our lives with people from various backgrounds, even if just for a few weeks. My partner works full-time and I work part-time, so having extra sets of hands on the farm has also been really helpful.
