    Short Property Description

‘Rossgole’ is a Certified Organic & Bio-dynamic farm in the picturesque Southern Highlands. We produce Certified Organic cider from cider & heritage apples grown in orchards on the farm. Our cider is naturally effervescent and is an alternative to sparkling wine.

We are in a high rainfall area & conditions change rapidly – be prepared for unexpected rain & cooler conditions than on the nearby coast. Nearby waterfalls & walking tracks for enjoyment during your stay.  We also make sure you get to see the beautiful Southern Highlands.

    Organic/Biological methods we use

Our farm has been certified organic since 1998.  We use biodynamic farming methods in our orchards. The trees have BD tree paste applied during winter and early spring. We apply BD cow pat pit to our orchards and also seaweed for soil activation. The BD preps are also put out regularly to assist us produce the best cider apples while taking care of the environment.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We became Wwoof hosts to foster cultural exchange and understanding and because we can always use your help on our organic & biodynamic farm. We find that Wwoofers enrich our farming experience and we hope it assists Wwoofers to understand both the positives and negatives of farming in Australia. We are happy to pass on our knowledge of organic orcharding, cider and vinegar making. We need lots of help during our harvest season (February through end of April) each year and we work longer hours during that time. At other times, we need help to bottle our cider and vinegar, maintain our orchards using biodynamic methods and with gardening. We offer home cooked meals made with organic ingredients tailored to everyone’s specific needs. We will also show you around the Southern Highlands including waterfalls and national parks.
