    Short Property Description

We are experimenting with how to sustain a 3 block edible garden in a town which is on the Darling River and is often exposed to drought, high temperatures/ extreme conditions. Although this house is in the town of Wilcannia, It is a truly unique town with a infamous history, this home is a heritage house and the town is trying to revitalise itself.

Being relatively remote, like all of us struggling with how to be independent of systems that are destructive to the Earth and sustainable and local. We grow vegetables, flowers and try and accomodate native plants also.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

I am exploring ways to live co-opertively and sustainably. To inspire and be inspired by others diversity. I enjoy meeting new people and finding ways to live by our strengths in harmony with nature. Enthusiasm for finding ways to create systems that work for humans and nature and redress the inequity of our current culture is my preoccupation.

There are a few other people who use this house as a base when they come to town for work or sabaticals. Excited to share experiences and create beautiful spaces where others can live and learn.
