    Short Property Description

I have a cattle property on the Mitta Mitta River. It is a beautiful location that offers fishing and living off the land facilities. New fences and infrastructure are underway and I am running a herd of hereford cattle and two brumbies (wild horses)

I have planted orchards and an organic garden is under construction. I have recently put in water infrastructure to support horticulture. The property does have blackberries and broom which must be treated with appropriate land care approved products hence I am not a certified organic farm.

I have two brumbies one is called Silver Buckles and the other is Kozi Blue. Silver is a young colt who is cheeky and friendly, I am training him at present. Old Blue is 20 and almost out to pasture he is a gentleman.

I am working on creating a farm stay on the property for nature tourism.

    Organic/Biological methods we use

Worm farm, composting, organic fertiliser. Hand clearing and planting.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

I am looking to give the opportunity to people who are honest and hard working to experience a High Country Adventure that is not for the faint hearted.  I have had people come and stay from all around the world in the past and I am a qualified English language teacher, although having reasonable English skills is preferable, I welcome all Australians and travellers who are trustworthy. Your vaccination status is not relevant to me as I do not medically discriminate.

I have set out to achieve a multi faceted business to create a space for people to enjoy and provide an educational life experience. I am keen to attract people with a strong work ethic /life balance who have skills or abilities to help create the vision and business plan that I am achieving.

I have become a host to get some extra help, inviting people to share my knowledge and history as a 5th generation Mountain CattleWoman.

All participants will need to agree to sign an indemnity agreement before volunteering.
