Hello, This is the second time I have signed up to a WWOOF network. In 2016, I went WWOOFing around France. I am an Australian, currently based in Brisbane. I have an undergrad in botanical science and I worked in the federal Department of Agriculture for a number of years in plant policy.
My main hobbies at the moment, I suppose, are gardening and home-brewing. I have some friends in the Granite Belt with vineyards and apple orchards. I’ve helped pick fruit this season and made a few batches of apple cider. But really, I have broad range of interests. I enjoy music and the arts, foods, computers, animals. I helped a lady take care of her horses here in Brisbane for a while. I haven’t done much bushwalking of late, but I enjoy that too.
Why I joined WWOOF
At the moment, I find myself at a crossroads in life. I am looking for work and considering study options. I don’t wish to return to the public service, yet I don’t know what other path to take. I think that it’d be a good thing to meet some people through WWOOF, see some more of Australia, and doing some outdoor work again.
