    Short Property Description

Something of a fairly unique small acreage (about 3) as it is in suburbia some 17 kms from the Sydney CBD. We have residential homes on two sides, a couple of similar acreages on one side and bushland on the other. We have many native animals on the property, including Wallabies, Cockatoos, various reptiles and numerous other bird species.

We also have four Horses – two of which are outstanding riding Horses (Australian Stock Horse and Morgan Horse) and can be ridden by WWOOFers who demonstrate competence. Our Horses also supply considerable levels of natural fertiliser which can be used as appropriate. We aspire to being truly Biodynamic.

We look across bushland and ridges to the ocean and are situated about 15 minutes drive from the surfing beaches of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. We have a bus stop almost at our front gate and a club, pub, shops and restaurants 500 metres away.

We have in the past grown a variety of fruit and vegetables but currently only growing some Aloe Vera for personal use and a few mature olive trees. I would like to regenerate the property and renew the vegetable garden in the interests of good health as I live a supplement free life where I get all my nutrition through food only sources and I am endeavoring to have my children adopt the same lifestyle.

We have a large modern home – the WWOOFer who stays with us will have their own large comfortable bedroom and ensuite bathroom.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

I have a very good Friend who has been a WWOOF Host for many years – she has been encouraging me to try this for some time and finally here we are. I believe we have a nice environment on offer in a very nice and well situated part of the world that would be enjoyed by a WWOOFer who in return will be most helpful in regenerating this lovely property. Being a WWOOF Host is clearly a mutually satisfying arrangement that I am finally wanting to experience. Meeting new people can be a stimulating, enjoyable and educational experience as well as the potential for cultural exchange depending on one’s origins.
