Short Property Description
My adult special needs daughter, our menagerie of horses, dogs, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, and myself live on an 18acre hobby farm 17km west of Cowra NSW, where we have dreams of becoming at least partially self sufficient while enjoying the country lifestyle that we in australia are so lucky to have access to. Accomodation is either in the house, or if you have a camper we have power and bathroom available. We also have a cute bus in the process of renovation, so if you are handy, it could be available to stay in.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We moved here 10 years ago for a lifestyle change. Progress is slow due to the property being run down when we came here, our capabilities, and of course the crazy Australian climate, of droughts and flooding rains! We hosted overseas visitors for a few years when we first came here, though family illness put a halt to any progress and visitors. We have now decided to once again open our home to visitors that would like to share the experience of some of Australia’s natural beauty lifestyle, and enjoy the company of visitors. We are crazy about our horses and birds, so lots of tending to the menagerie. We have an interest in growing herbs and plants for wellbeing, and hoping to establish a decent vege garden. We are keen on dressage and medieval horse sports, so try to go to both when the opportunity presents itself. We are only 17km from the local town which provides most needs, and only an hour or so from 2 good sized cities. l
