Hi from America! My name is Aidan Klaver a 25 year old working the environmental field as an environmental sampling technician. I graduated from a 4 year college with a degree in environmental management and protection emphasizing ecological restoration.
Previously I worked with American Conservation Experience maintaining hiking trails, falling trees, and invasive species removal throughout Arizona working 10 hour days in difficult terrain and weather.
I enjoy slack-lining, swimming, hiking, camping, and nature/landscape photography to name a few! I am a shy person at first, but I do open up! I enjoy having fun, being spontaneous, making others laugh, and working hard when it comes down to it.
I don’t like conflict, disappointing people, or giving up. I want to create new experiences and enjoy this life of mine in a foreign place where I can grow as an individual and meet new people!
Why I joined WWOOF
I joined WWOOF to gain experience as an individual and in organic farming, I believe the future is in organic, sustainable farming on a local and commercial scale. We’re seeing how unethical our methods are with poor crop yield, and unhealthy soils.
I would like to learn how to bring organic farming to my neighborhood, and my own backyard in the future to reduce my carbon footprint. I want to learn from other countries, and their methods of sustainable agriculture.
