Cheyenne Brayden Last Active: Active 1 hour, 17 minutes ago Age: 21-25ViewGender: FemaleSkills I Want to Learn: Organic Practices, Permaculture/Biodynamics, Biodynamics practices and techniques, Regenerative Agriculture, Syntropic farmingThe only things I have ever missed when traveling is being able to really meet people and learn in the places I am visiting. I have lived in the city so long I realized that I don't have a lot of knowledge about growing food or being educated about biodiversity. I had a friend who had an amazing year wwoofing and I have been determined to make it happen ever since! I am really hoping to just be as present as possible and take in as much experience and conversation as I can. Mostly I'm just excited to be a part of it and try new things! We also believe that it is a nice opportunity to get out of our comfort zone and lend a hand in different fields, being ecological or sustainable agriculture topics of great interest to us. Its a place where I can learn lots of things, and in exchange can volunteer to work. I am a keen learner and want to really explore and grab this opportunity. 7 Pam Close Jewells Last Active: Active 1 hour, 38 minutes ago City/Town: JewellsViewFarming Methods: PermacultureAccommodation Type: In Our HomeHi, we're Scott and Lanelle; a married couple with two toy poodles. We’ve been applying permaculture to our way of life and experimenting with regenerative systems in our suburban house, garden, neighbourhood and community. Another reason for our decision is our ambition to learn about the agricultural differences in Australia compared to Germany and the interesting flora and fauna in your beautiful country. In addition, I’m interested in culture, lifestyle or work style of different countries, so I’d like to have an opportunity to stay with multicultural people and encounter a new set of values through experience of WWOOF. And also I’d like to learn about permaculture to put into practice it in the future. Tired of the city life. I also want to see some of this great country and give back to the backbone of this country. My plan is to have no fixed address for awhile. I have had a desire to work on farms for a long time and now is the time to make that move. I want to learn a whole lot of new skills and put those skills to use by helping out our farmers. I want to develop my skills so I can farm sit, part time caretaker etc. I like Rural Aid’s Farm Army and Farm Rescues, I would love to assist more I'm looking to meet so many interesting and fabulous people and Wwoofing seem like a great way to do that. I'm wanting life to not be predictable and not the same #%*! different day kina of thing. I figured this was the best way to go about it. The way of the regular tourist doesn’t satisfy my needs for integration in local everyday life, and besides I really like physical labour and fresh air. I’m trying to find a place close to the sea, with good food sources and foraging nearby. WWOOF is a perfect place for me to volunteer. To get back to my philosophy of "small is beautiful" lifestyle and community. I want to visit scenic, different locations where I've never been. Where WWOOF Hosts will have interesting and sustainable projects. Variety is the spice of (my) life. Whilst I'm not skilled in a lot of the farming techniques that WWOOF Hosts will be using, I'm happy to learn. I'm not afraid of hard work or long hours. I'm average strength and fitness. I spent a few weeks in Central Otago farming country in New Zealand in June 2021 helping my friend on her property. Acting as her clayton's WWOOFer. Loved it. But I'd already decided I wanted to go WWOOFing in Australia long before I went to NZ. It's been an aim for many years. Just a matter now of getting the van and bike on the road. Seize all opportunities that arise. While at same time helping hardworking, conscious people realise their own sustainable, small carbon footprint lifestyle.
