Hello, my name is Lyric. I am looking for a host farm for the month of June. I am a young, hard-working, energetic female who would love to travel to Australia and devote my hard work and learn new skills. I am very interested in gardening, landscaping, and farming and want to gain knowledge regarding those. I have a sheep dog that I am hoping to accompany me for my stay. I am vegan, I can cook or help out with vegan meals. Looking for a awesome learning opportunity before I return to school in fall!

Hi Lyric! We have a beautiful farm in northern Victoria and have had many vegans and vegetarians stay with us. We have welcomed lots of woofers, one of whom decided we were nice enough he wanted to stay, and he now lives with us! We’ve 3 children, loads of animals, a beautiful garden and a vegetable patch (in need of care). Let us know if you’d like to visit us, Phoebe

Your farm is beautiful! I love animals and would love to care for them. I also am very interested in learning how to garden. I see you have young children, I have been a nanny for two families with children of young ages for 5 years. I think that I can be very useful to your family. I am looking for a learning experience, to develop new skills, and to explore another country. I am from California, US and was hoping to make the trip this June-July. I would love to help you at your farm, thanks for your interest.

We are a young couple living on an intentional community in the Nymboida village 35km south of Grafton in Northern NSW (about 2 hrs sth of Byron Bay). We would love some help getting the initial setup don for our new market garden project Green Shovel Farm.

We will be setting up about 10 new beds, watering system, fencing and then planting and seeding the beds. Your work would be helping us with these jobs and maybe a few other things on the farm site. There could be some building coming up to get the work shed up soon as well. There’s also building on our new house/bus extension, some work on community projects and infrastructure, and feeding and hanging out with three goats, three dogs, two horses and a bunch of poultry. You can stay for between maybe 2-3 days to a few weeks or longer.

You will stay in our cute caravan and we will cook dinners and some lunches and provide food and kitchen for the other meals. Vegan meals are fine, as long as you don’t mind if we cook some non-vegan for ourselves. There’s plenty of beautiful river, mountains, forest etc. around us to enjoy and we can take you into Grafton when we go a few times a week. There’s plenty of interesting people in the village and it is a mecca for whitewater and flatwater paddlers with the Nymboida Canoe Centre just down the road. Call Tommy or Georgia on 0467337318 or email tomus_27@hotmail.com.
Hope to see you here! T.
