I spent 5 days at Rodney and Anna’s. If I had more time, I would have loved to stay longer, I had a blast! They make you feel very welcome into their family from the beginning. You will learn a lot on the farm working alongside Rodney. The work is diverse – you may be pulling out grass, harvesting vegetables, preparing beds, seeding, etc. Food was amazing (best bread I’ve ever tasted). I had a lot of first experiences – saw a huntsman, collected eggs from the chickens, killed a chicken and ate it for supper (don’t need to participate if you don’t want to, but I wanted to try), used new agricultural tools such as the broadfork, saw a game of canoe polo. If you are eager to learn and want to try new things like I am, Rodney and Anna will make it happen 🙂 Thank you so much!! When I come back to Alice Springs, I will be back!
