My cousin took part on WOOFing and I really liked the Concept of it. When I started to plan my own journey I thought of WWOOFing  as a method to get to know other people and also safe money.

I love natural and organic products and would like to meet people who make them, learn how they are produced and learn to live close to nature.  As Australia is more developped in organic methods and plant-based cookig etc. , the experince will help to fulfill my work and life.  Having experience of wwoofer, I would like to introduce more variety of natural food  and life to Japanese and also to be more help for foreigners in Japan  who have food restrictions etc. in my cooking instructer work.

City/Town: CRESCENT HEAD
Farming Methods: Organic
Accommodation Type: In Our Home
We live on 20 acres on Crescent Head Rd, 7 km from beautiful Crescent Head, where we grow Lemon Myrtle organically but we are not certified. We started the plantation in 2001 with little knowledge of what it would take to grow it successfully. We have learned so much through the years! We do everything ourselves with the harvester we purchased in Western Australia (that my husband smartly fitted to cut Lemon Myrtle by adding a conveying belt) and a distillery unit Paul also built from scratch. For years, we produced very high quality pure essential oil but are now selling the leaves to a company who makes tea/spices with it... it is less labor intensive for us.

Im excited to WWOOF, as i have been looking forward to the opportunity for years. Finally I am travelling, to embrace adventure and to be involved in organic farming communities. I grew up in the Kimberly's, living on family friends farms, and developed a strong connection with farm life, and a yearning to be more involved from this experience. Ben is Interested in Conservation and Land Management, aswell as off-grid living. He would like to learn more permaculture practices, to lead a more sustainable life We hope to hear from you!

I am moving to Australia for a year, seeking for new approaches to life. Since my goal is more to experience than to earn money, I thought wwoofing might be the perfect plan! I see this year as an opportunity to discover lifestyles, meet individualities and share experiences.

In my unplanned adventure in Australia, I would like to experience the pleasure of living sorrounded by nature and being in touch with animals. I think the fact of exchanging my labor for food and a ceiling makes us go back to the simple life, what will enrich my perspectives for sure. A collegue told me about this platform and her experience when telling her about my intentions to go to Australia, so this is how I knew about WWOOF.

I joined because I think it's a good opportunity to experience something different from the work I do in Switzerland. I'm motivated to do some volunteering work, helping and supporting projects. I think also that the experience woofing is something unique for myself brings maybe also a new perspective of seeing and understanding things in the daily life in a different way and I'm sure that the encounters with different people will be so valuable as well.
